Nothing stays the same. It either gets bigger or smaller. Better or worse. So why should a business grow?
We believe that the single best reason for Broadsword to grow is to give others the opportunity to grow and flourish. In order to give more opportunity for our employees, we need to grow.
And indeed we have! In the past year we have delivered over 500 events, in 25 countries and taken on a number of new clients and people so that we now have a team of 40 working under the Broadsword roof. Or should we say roofs?
Two years ago, the Broadsword team was based in our Operations and Warehouse building in Beckenham; next came the Creative Studio in Somerset House and earlier this year, a third office in Manchester. We are now extremely proud to announce that we have opened a base in Hong Kong, one of the world’s most vibrant and exciting cities and a hub for meetings and conferences. It’s home to the world’s highest hotel – The Ritz-Carlton and has the most skyscrapers in the world, currently totalling 355, 75 more than New York.
The clients that we work with, the profile of the projects and their scale, is strong evidence of our success. Being entrusted to bring such special and significant events to life is something that is taken very seriously by everyone at Broadsword. Projects carry a Broadsword signature, an exemplary finish, wherever we are in the world. As we take on new staff, our ability to apply this approach, is a significant factor in the growth and scalability of our business.
So it’s rather fitting that Broadsword has been nominated as a finalist for Growing Business of the Year. Now entering their 21st year, the Growing Business Awards celebrate the strength, vision and resilience of fast-growing SMEs. A well deserved a nomination it is!
