Our 2019 highlights

A wise man once said “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”. Actually, that’s from the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but we felt inspired to take a step back and look at what we achieved last year, which didn’t seem to feature many days off!

  • 14 brilliant people joined the family
  • Our first Mental Health First Aider within the team
  • One wedding, two babies and £1,054 raised for our nominated charity, Mind

We won silver!

EVCOM is an association within the Creative Industry. Their mission is to celebrate the success of Britain’s creative industries. The London Live Awards showcases outstanding achievement in the design and execution of live events.

We won silver for our contribution to the British Independent Film Awards.

How many times have you felt tired? Under pressure at work? Stressed about the day ahead?

A yearly report from Careercast says an Event Coordinator is the 5th most stressful job in the world. We’re facing more pressure and stress as time goes on. Early starts, late finishes and making sure that each event is as perfect as the last. It’s easy to get wrapped up in a work bubble.

It’s important we focus on ourselves once in a while. We’re lucky that wellbeing is becoming more accepted. Not only in our everyday lives but in the workplace too.

Run, Broadsword, Run!

On 1st September 2019 a team of Broadsword employees will be running 10k in London's most iconic park, Hyde Park, to raise money for Mind.

Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. They won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respectMind believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They’ll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner.

Commemorating the centenary of the discovery that captivated the world, the largest collection of King Tutankhamun's treasures ever to travel out of Egypt will open at the Saatchi Gallery for a limited run.

Broadsword are thrilled to announce that we have been selected as the sole production supplier to the Gallery from 2nd November to 3rd May 2020 while a new collection, Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh makes its final London appearance.
